Well, you know how when we battle a boss, most of us stand around hacking away, shooting, nading, voodooing or kniving the boss until it's dead?

D merely continues to fight non-stop, thereby increasing his chances for something good. That whole Top 100 of all time thing means that he has probably thrown away more famed stuff than we will ever see.
