(multiple opinions will exist and my explanation is probably incomplete at this stage)
On several occasions, the first with Scott London, I noticed that the enemy ship, a warship or a hunter, could not hit us with its barrages. This seemed strange because initially it seems a hunter can shoot from any angle it wants to use.
Is there a magic angle or a "Captain's angle" that can be used to render a warship inoffensible (it can't shoot you) and it's just a matter of time until the cannoneers sink it?
The picture below was taken when sailing and William had this Captain's angle. The idea is that you might try to match the angle that we see on the compass.
Could ship speed influence the angle? (don't know yet)
How wide is the range of angles that are captain's angles? (again, don't know)
I hope we can work on this while playing in the evening.
