How to upload an image for posting

I am making this a sticky since it is a pretty confusing way to have to upload our pics / screenshots. I am sure this will be a big concern so please just refer here if you need help. We have to upload our image to a host site to get a URL for that image. once we get the URL, we can paste it into the text box of the message and it will show as an image when posted. Here is how to upload an image...

- Press "Host an image" from the icons above the text box. (A window appears from www.servimg.com. This is the host site)
- Next to file, click "Browse". Then navigate to the image you want to upload.
- Double click the image or highlight it and press "open".
- Now click "Host it". This is when you get the URL from the image.
- Choose "Copy" next to image. (Allow the pop-up about the clipboard if you see one)
- Now, click the "Host an image" icon again to get rid of the servimg.com box.
- Right click in the text window and paste the URL along with whatever text you want in the post.

Go to: tinypic.com (I suggest you sign up if you plan on using this a lot)
Go to 'file>browse'
Choose yer photo and press upload!
(if you are on the home page they will have to make sure you aren't a bot. If you sign up however, go to 'your stuff' and upload then you wont have to)
Then grab the 'IMG code for forums and message boards' (also known as BBcode)
Post teh code and it will become teh picture!!

OR. . .

Go on google>images
find the image you want, click on it.
full size image
then copy the URL
enter the URL in between this:

Code:

[IMG]URLHERE[/IMG]
OR you can copy the url>click the picture with the tree> enter the URL there.
Then you can post it and the image will appear!

(GALLERY)
OR. . .

Go to our navigation bar and click Gallery
click 'Your Personal Albums'
click 'upload pic'(top left hand corner)
fill out the form
copy the 'BBCode of the Picture'
paste in your post!!

Ok, I think this interface is kinda stinky too, so here's my attempt at clarifying. Please note this was done on a PC using the Firefox (awesome sauce) browser.

Click the Host image button as below;

A diaglog box will pop up (provided your pop-up blocker it turned off for the Fury Forums.
Next, click the "Browse" button to browse to your image;

And select it from where you stored it. If this is a screenie, you will need to find your POTCO screenshots directory. There is a decent writeup on it here http://piratesforums.com/threads/how-to-take-screenshots.184/ and elsewhere in this thread.

So, select your image...

And select "Open". This will take you back to the www.servimg.com dialog where you need to click "HOST IT" at the bottom of the box.

Click in the "Image :" dialog to highlight the complete URL and past that into your response;

Now, click the preview button before sending and you will see your uploaded images!

Thank you so much! I will give it a shot tonight when I'm on my desk top. Got a really cool shot of Jolly in a glitch. I will try to remember how to get there but... I am also glitch challenged! lol!
